Academic at the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla, with a Phd in History and Ethnohistory by the Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia with a master’s degree in communication and a degree in ciencies of the communication by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, along with a speciality in Photography and visual antrophology. She has the certification of the International High Training Program: Internationalization, Leadership and Communication by the Next International Business School. Also, she has studied towns and cultures of the Totonacapan and the Sierra North of Puebla since 2000 and has a wide photography production as well as a various publications about the region. His academic production is based on social research from photography as a source of primary information, addressing the phenomena of memory and cultural reproduction. She has been guest professor in Spain, Ecuador Salvador and Colombia. She is member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores of the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, the Colegio de Etnólogos y Antropólogos Sociales, the consolidated academic group “Imagen, Memoria e Investigación Social” and founder of the Laboratorio Universitario de Imagen y Memoria of the BUAP.
