Academic at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), with a Phd in History and Ethnohistory and a degree in Ethnology, along with a master’s in Regional Studies, postdoctoral degrees in History and Anthropology and graduate diplomas in Descriptive Linguistics, Cultural Empathy and  Expertise in Anthropological Sciences. He’s a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores of the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT), the Colegio de Etnólogos y Antropólogos Sociales, and the International Association of Oral History and of the Universal Esperanto Association. Leader of the consolidated academic group “Imagen, Memoria e Investigación Social”,

and has the certification of the International High Training Program: Internationalization, Leadership and Communication by the Next International Business School.

Being present in the Totonacapan and the Sierra Norte of Puebla since 1994, he has developed wide experience in the studies of languages and cultures of the region. His academic interests are based on research of memory and daily life for the understanding of cultural diversity from records of orality, sound image and chemical photography. He has been a guest professor in Universities and centers of investigation in Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador and Poland.
